The fat is then purified and reinserted into the buttocks to augment and lift them into an enviable shape.

The aesthetic surgeon initiates the procedure by administering a dose of anesthesia. An incision is made towards the top and bottom on both sides of the buttocks. A silicone implant is inserted on each side just above the gluteal muscle or in the muscle. The method of insertion and positioning of the buttocks implants depends on the type of implant used, degree of enlargement and lifting required and the body type. The incisions are then closed using sutures or surgical tape.

For fat grafting method, excess fat is removed through a small incision using a thin hollow tube, or cannula with a controlled back and forth motion. The displaced fat is suctioned out (Liposuction) using a surgical vacuum or syringe attached to the cannula. The fat tissue is processed and purified and reinserted using a cannula to the buttocks. The liposuction process is also applied to remove the excess fat from the buttock and to reduce the size of the buttocks.

Both the methods of butt lift are a daycare procedure and can be completed in 2 to 3 hours. After the procedure, the results are immediately visible with improved contour to the shape and figure of the buttocks. Aftercare instructions are provided by the aesthetic surgeon and the patient is advised to sleep or rest on the tummy.
